CWD- Chronic Wasting Disease

CWD is a disease that affects cervids, similar to Scrapie in sheep and goats or BSE in cattle.  

1967 the first identification of CWD was made at the Colorado Division of Wildlife Foothills Wildlife Research Facility in Mule deer.
